Leek has a host of regular events, ranging from creative, arts, music and family friendly events.

Every month apart from January you will find the award winning Sunday Supplement Market which takes place on the first Sunday of the month.

Leek comes alive with a host of local makers, and creators alongside all the local independent businesses, cafes and pubs.

It’s a great day out if you fancy a mooch for some unique gifts and speciality foods, followed by a lovely lunch in Leek.

Easter in Leek is a highlight for local and visiting families in search of an Easter Egg Trail.

This very popular event where excited kids try to spot the hidden eggs in the local independent shops, getting a little treat as a reward and a goodie bag when they complete the trail.

May brings song and dance and more with the Leek Arts Festival. As well as music expect performing arts, theatre and exhibitions. In 2024 headline acts include Tony Christie, Dean Friedman, folk-rock outfit Merry Hell and many more. You can find lots more information on the Leek Arts Festival website.

The Jesters Scooter Club, based in Leek was established in 2002. The 2024 Scooterfest will take place at Market Place Car Park on Sunday 19th May, with a rally, market and parts fair. A great social for fellow Scooterists and friends!

Starting in May and running right through to September you will find Sunday afternoon concerts in Brough Park at the Bandstand. On the second and fourth Sunday of the month you can come along and enjoy some home made cakes and soak up the atmosphere. More Info…

The Leek & District Show is a traditional agricultural show attracting visitors from the surrounding Stoke on Trent and the Staffordshire Moorlands.  The Leek Show has been a regular fixture for over sixty years. It moved onto its present location at Dunwood Fields in 2022 enabling greater scope with three show rings and facilities to present a variety of attractions. The 2024 event takes place on the 27th July.

September highlights the creative community in Leek, with Leek Open Studios Come along and be inspired! With over 30 local artists and makers demonstrating what they do. You will find them in their studios or other spaces in the town centre. It’s FREE and you can pick up a map on the day or download one here. The 2024 event will take place on the 21st September,

Leek has a thriving local music scene.
The Leek Blues and Americana Festival is all about showcasing these assets. All events are within easy walking distance of each other, some international acts at affordable prices and, thanks to the support of Leek’s pubs and small business, a packed weekend of completely free music.
So come along, have a drink or two, and enjoy some great music, you will be glad that you did. Oct 2nd – Oct 6th 2024.

Bat Hunt

October brings out the kids in fancy dress to take part in the Halloween Spooktacular Trail, locally knows as the bat hunt. This trail is an alternative to trick or treat. Grab a map and spot the hidden bats, it’s all about treats as you find the bats and collect a goodie bag at the end of the trail. This year’s event takes place on the 26th October 2024.

A tradition with many locals and visitors, is the Leek Christmas light switch on. With many of the independent shops open, live music and a fun fair. It is a firm family favourite. This year’s event will take place on 15th December.
