We are very excited to be able to have our ever popular Totally Locally Spooktacular Halloween Trail back on the 30th October 2021.
This year’s trail, where you have to find bats hidden around the town centre will be slightly different to make it a bit more ‘Covid Friendly’. Instead of having to go inside shops to find the pictures of the bats, you will be able to spot them in shop windows.

There may also be some ‘scary’ creatures around town for you to spot and maybe have a photo taken with them!
Although this means there will be no treats to collect while you find the bats, everyone who completes the Spooktacular Halloween Trail and finds the names of 21 bats will get an extra special goodie bag.

All you have to do is pick up a trail map in any of the following places
- Bibelot on Sheep Market
- Dougal’s Den on High Street
- The Totally Locally Leek Stall in the Indoor Market
- The Lion House Tea Room on Russel Street
- Mr Simms on Derby Street
- The Foxlowe Arts Centre at the top of the Market Place
- Paeonia Floral in Getliffes Yard
When you have the Map you will see that the town centre has been divided into 7 zones, there are at least 6 bats pictures hiding in windows all you have to do is find 3 bats in each zone and write down the name of the bats you find.
When you have found 3 bats in each of the 7 zones you will have 21 bat names in total, then you can head to Paeonia Floral in Getliffes Yard or the Totally Locally Leek stall in the indoor market to claim your goodie bag.

There are a total of 48 bat pics hidden in windows, but you only have to find and name 21 of them.
If you want to get ahead of the game you can download the Map here ( just note there is a front and back to the map)
The Trail will start at 10:00am and finish at 4.00pm on Saturday 30th October
Thanks to Leek Town Council for supporting this event as part of the Welcome Back Funding.
